Q1. What activities are to be performed by the 8 Units / Factories under DPSU’s with respect to the IDM portal?

Answer: The Unit under (Defence Public Sector Under taking)DPSU's/ Quality Assurance Agency (QA’s) will be accepting application from the vendor's apply for NCAGE+. They need to be verified & validate information for the issued NCAGE+ certification.

Q2. Shall DPSU instruct the factories under it, to direct vendors registered with factories, to register in the IDM portal?

Answer: All the existing vendors have to be onboarded on the IDM portal.

Q3. In joint venture and past defence order section all the fields were mandatory. How can a company with no past defence orders and joint venture complete its form?

Answer: The applicant may select NA for the fields for which there is no response available.

Q4. What is responsibility of nodal officer of DPSU in NCAGE stage? Or their responsibility will start only in NCAGE+ stage?

Answer: DoS is competent authority for issuing of NCAGE number. The application to be forwarded to the DoS for verification and allotment of NCAGE number. And the application forwarded to the DPSU's for NCAGE+

Q5. What is proposed method for registration of DPSU Registered vendors in IDM Portal?

Answer: DPSU's registered vendor will be issued user name and password. They will fill all the details along with the details of registration with DPSU's /QA by going to the general information >>Registration>>go to the add new record and select the Registration type option MOD department, and Defence department select relevant DPSU's or QA’s agency .

Q6. There are three types of registration NCAGE Registration, Registration for NCAGE and bothNCAGE+& NCAGE registration. Why three type of registration required and what is the advantage available by these three type of registration forthe vendors, Which one will be dealt by DPSU?

Answer:

NCAGE Registration: NCAGE registration will be provided after filling the necessary details required for getting NCAGE from Directorate of Standardisation (DoS).
Registration for NCAGE and NCAGE+: Applicant will be apply for the NCAGE number through the filling all general information form with all relevant details and select. Then application will be sent to the DoS and selected DPSU’s/QA’s Unit.
NCAGE+ registration: If NCAGE is available and verified by DoS. Applicant can apply for NCAGE+ byfilling of all general information, company information, financial information and other miscellaneous information and application can be sent to the selected DPSU's for the NCAGE+

Q7. Is it required, vendors to authorize each DPSU or authorization of one DPSU is deemed as registered for all DPSU?

Answer: Application for NCAGE+ will be forwarded to the selected unit DPSU's only by the vendor after completion of necessary details.

Q8. Whether all the existing defence vendors with DPSU’s/QA’s need to get registered through IDM portal?

Answer: All the existing vendor have to be onboarded on the IDM portal

Q9. Help desk support is requested in IDM portal for vendors during submission of data?

Answer: For the existing vendor nodal officers of DPSU's QA & their units may provide necessary on boarding support.In case of any technical issue support can be accessed through helpdesk menu available on the portal.

Q10. If the firm is already approved by Quality Assurance Agency i.e. DGQA/DGAQA etc., whether Assessment / Verification activity by any of DPSUs/QAs is still applicable.?

Answer: All the existing vendor have to be onboarded on the IDM portal

Q11. Any Unique code is generated in IDM portal after successful registration which can be used to view specific details on later date?

Answer: NCAGE number will be the unique identity code to view details regarding the vendor.

Q12. Whether the existing vendor data base will be migrated to IDM portal, which have been already shared by DPSUs?

Answer: The existing data as shared by DPSU’s/QA’s will be merged to IDMPortal.

Q13. Presently at some DPSU’s/QA’s,vendor registration is being carried out in two ways a. Publishing the item list on vendor registration portal twice in a year. b. At the time of source development tender enquiry (SDOTE). Whether such system will be available on IDM portal or otherwise.

Answer: Vendor registration will be done as per the request raised by vendors.

Q14. Once registration form is submitted, whether user id & password will be shared with vendor on their e-mail/mobile? Any time delay? Whether vendor can chose user id? If PAN is default user ID, "mail" icon shown in the user ID field can be changed suitably. Whether password will serve as OTP and vendor will be able to change the password during first login?

Answer: Required credential shared will be on email only. Yes the vendor can change the password through mobile/ Email OTP.

Q15. Whether DPSU profile is same as NCAGE+ profile? If yes, it can be shown as NCAGE+ profile after NCAGE profile. If not, whether the completion status on DPSU profile shows the details provided by DPSUs?

Answer: There will be four profile:-

Basic–NCAGE /NCAGE+ application is pending.
DPSU Verified-NCAGE+ application accepted/NCAGE application is pending.
NCAGE-NCAGE+ application pending/NCAGE application is accepted.
NCAGE+-NCAGE+ application accepted/NCAGE application is accepted.

Q16. Name of DPSU/QA agencies, the Vendor is registered will also be captured?

Answer: The same is being captured in general information>>registration>>registration type>>mod department>>DPSU/QA.

Q17. What are units & sub units?

Answer: Unit refer to the factory/ Unit of(Defence Public Sector Under taking) DPSU's/ Quality Assurance Agency (QA’s) .

Q18. How the vendor will communicate/update the change in their company related information, their portfolio, management, etc.? It is suggested that all the changes incorporated by the vendor post their NCAGE/NCAGE+ registration is made available as a report based on the period (during which who all the vendors made what changes) and the vendor wise (for changes made by the vendor with date).

Answer: Their vendor can make change only after their application for NCAGE+ registration is either accepted or rejected. In case it is accepted the vendor can make incrementally change only.

Q19. It is understood that vendor registered under NCAGE+ level can be considered as registered vendor by all DPSUs. Please clarify if vendors registered under NCAGE category can also be considered as registered vendor by all DPSUs. If so, what is the importance for vendors to go for NCAGE+ level registration. Further, it can be clarified that vendor registered with NCAGE or NCAGE+ level will be for specific products or material category.

Answer: NCAGE registration will be given by the NCAGE number, NCAGE+ will allowed vendor to access different services as offered by DDP/DPSU's/QA
